High School All-State Groups

Audition Information

The All-State High School Ensembles are made up of the top student musicians , grades 9-12, across the state. This audition is in two rounds, one at the regional level, then one with recordings sent to out of state judges.

First Round Information:

Registration deadline for directors: Wednesday, September 4, 2024 (Student deadlines will likely be earlier. Ask your band director if you have questions)

Audition date and location: TBD

Audition cost: $15 per audition slot, paid through the student's band program.  Please contact your student's band director for more information.

Second Round Information:

hose students selected to advance from the first round to the second will go to a central location to record their auditions. This is done instead of the old policy of holding in-person auditions at a location like Lafayette or Pineville. Districts across the state use a standardized set of recording equipment as well as a standard set of procedures.
